Here we are again ladies and gentlemen. We had the liveblog going for the 12-minute hearing, and that was popular, despite the lack of real action there. Naturally, I couldn’t run one for the Georgia hearing last week, but we’ve got another hearing elsewhere, so here it is.

If you’re wondering why I’m doing this, it’s because twitter can be hard to follow. One person tweets, gets 3 responses, then starts replying to each one, some you may see, some you don’t, and it degenerates from there, especially a sudden high-traffic topic like #prenda. What twitter is good at is is real-time.

So, this liveblog is like a private twitter focused just on this issue, and you get to see everything. plus it’ll incorporate twitter as well. So it’s handy for everyone. And when the events over, you can look back at it.

I think that if Steel fails to show, wright will hold him in criminal contempt.

What is the purpose of asking for a hearing if you plan to say nothing?

Proving to the world just how smart you are — on automatic — must remember that Steele is actually insane. I hope he leaves the court in steel or plastic bracelets.

OK, so here’s the deal: As noted, no connectivity in the courtroom (and even if there was, rules wouldn’t allow tweeting with judge present). Wright was on fire today. As noted, he spent a good amount of time grilling Steele over why he should get a “second bite” – “How does information on an undisputed issue entitle you to a second bite?” And later, “This is absurd”. More Judge Wright quotes: “You’re getting all the due process you can stand.” (This following Steele’s repeated complaints that he was being denied his 5th Amendment due process because he wasn’t served.) “I find it laughable you use the word fraud.” And the real money quote: “You reach a point where an attorney, witness or individual has lost so much credibility it’s a waste of time. … This hearing’s over.” At which point, Steele piped up, and that’s when Wright threatened the Marshals.

A good line from Steele, regarding his new 2″ thick filing: “When I make allegations I believe I need to attach documentary proof.” Really? “Gibbs has committed perjury on a scale I’ve never seen before” (ever looked in a mirror?)

Steele claimed that his deleted johnlsteele@gmail address had an auto-responder with a new address “for a few weeks” before he deleted it — funny how nobody involved in the case seems to have ever gotten one of those messages.

For the record, Judge Wright arrived at 11:05 (Steele rolled in right at 10:59); the hearing lasted to 11:44.
